Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search box goes directly to the outside company operating that tool. That provider processes the input and supplies its result. Monroe County Warrant Records does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message and return address may be retained long enough to respond and maintain necessary correspondence. We do not share it outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Ordinary server and analytics logs may collect technical facts when a page loads, including:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referral source, when available
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help measure traffic, page use, and site performance in aggregate. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, though disabling them may change how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical or submitted information may be used for these limited purposes:
- Operating, securing, and improving the website
- Passing a requested search to the chosen outside provider
- Understanding which content visitors use
- Finding errors and diagnosing performance problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
Monroe County Warrant Records does not host, sell, maintain, or compile a database of warrants or personal warrant records. It publishes general routing information about the Monroe County Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Circuit and District Courts, municipal courts, and official Alabama services. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or records about other people. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes that appear on content pages. Information entered there is governed by that company's privacy policy and retention practices, not this policy. We do not control how the provider processes or shares a query. Review its terms before submitting personal information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to courts, the Monroe County Sheriff, municipalities, Alabama agencies, legal resources, or commercial search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy rules apply. Read those rules before providing personal details.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs through their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be accessible to:
- The search provider receiving a query
- Analytics companies measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving page ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information under our control. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed secure, however. We cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor provided information directly, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with a visitor's location and applicable Alabama or federal privacy and consumer-protection law. A visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held about them
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information where the law permits
- Opt out of processing when an applicable right exists
Alabama public-records law, Ala. Code ยง36-12-40 et seq., governs access to qualifying government records. It does not turn this private website into a government record custodian.
